Police investigating lewdness complaint in Canandaigua’s Baker Park

Canandaigua police are investigating a complaint that a man exposed himself in Baker Park on Monday night.

According to police, the 55- to 60-year-old white man, who also is described as having gray hair and wearing black glasses, jeans, black sweater and baseball cap, commited a lewd act near the playground.

The incident occurred at 6:40 p.m. Monday.

A citizen walking in the park confronted the man, who then ran to his vehicle and fled.

The vehicle is described as being a dark-colored, possibly gray, Jeep Compass.

Anyone who may have seen the man or the vehicle in the area of the park, which is off Buffalo Street, is asked to contact Canandaigua Police Sgt. Nate Lawrence at 585-337-2102 or 585-337-2106.
