Seneca Falls, Waterloo PD involved in investigation, pursuit after shoplifting incident

On Friday at 1:41 p.m. the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a Penn Yan woman following a shoplifting incident at Walmart, which led to a vehicle pursuit.

Sabrina M. Williams, 26, was observed by asset protection employees taking merchandise past all points of sale with no attempt at rendering payment for the items.

When confronted, Williams fled in a vehicle towards the Village of Waterloo. Seneca Falls Police Department along with the Waterloo Police Department searched for the vehicle and once s spotted by authorities they attempted to perform a traffic stop.



Williams failed to comply and continued to flee in the vehicle. After a short pursuit, Williams was taken into custody. She was charged by the Seneca Falls Police Department with petit larceny. Additionally, Williams was charged by the Waterloo Police Department with failing to comply with a lawful order, reckless driving, failure to stop at a stop sign, speed not reasonable and prudent, and aggravated unlicensed operation.

She was processed and arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Court where she was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 bail.

She is due back in town court on June 7th at 5:30 p.m.
