Yates County Legislators have approved a four-year contract with the Law Enforcement Council 82 bargaining unit that represents 51 county corrections and other employees.
The contract, approved unanimously by the legislature May 14 includes pay increases in 2019 (3.5 percent), 2020 (2.5 percent), and 2021 (2.5 percent). The employees do not receive an increase in 2018.
Yates County Administrator Robert Lawton explains the employee’s health insurance coverage will transition from an Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO) to a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), which includes a county-supported Health Reimbursement Arrangement to help offset deductible costs.
In addition, shift differentials will increase from 40 cents per hour to 50 cents per hour for the remainder of 2018, and will increase to 60 cents per hour in 2019.
