Eat, Drink and Be Murphy: Enjoy a bit of an Irish summer

So when people who visited his Irish Mafia Brewing Co., which opened at Toomey’s Corners last November and did gangbusters during the Bristol Mountain ski season, said they wanted to be outside for the summer, well, that’s coming.

An outdoor patio that will seat 63 more people and feature outdoor games such as cornhole is expected to have a Father’s Day grand opening, with a special steak cookout to boot.

When they said they wanted wine, he added wine, by the glass and flights. Wine slushies for the summer; sure, why not?

A children’s menu, along with more salads and lunch and dinner options for adults, courtesy of new Executive Chef George Boyd, as well as table service for lunch and dinner? Yes, yes and yes.

“I’m new at this,” said Mansfield, who is a Bloomfield grad and a member of the Toomey family from whom the Corners got its nickname. “If somebody gives me a good idea, I’ll take it. We listened to the people.”

Not that Irish Mafia Brewing Co. is getting away from beer. The people wouldn’t have that.
