Deputies say a Palmyra man had a BAC more than twice the legal limit following a traffic stop in Sodus.
Jeremy T. Blankenberg, 24, was reportedly operating a motor vehicle erratically on Bay Street Extension in Sodus around 1:19 am on Sunday, according to deputies. They say he did a burnout while pulling out of the Pit Stop gas station.
Upon further investigation it was determined that Blankenberg was driving while intoxicated with revoked privileges. He failed a roadside field sobriety test, and submitted a BAC sample of 0.19 percent.
As result he was charged with felony DWI due to a previous conviction in 2017 – as well as felony unlicensed operation.
He was remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 secured bond.
