City Council on Thursday night passed a resolution approving a fee structure for the Canandaigua Canine Campus dog park.
A Canandaigua town or city resident will pay $30 per year for access to the park and non residents will pay $40 for up to three dogs. Council also gave the OK for discounts for town and city residents who are seniors or military veterans. They would pay $25 for the first dog and $15 for each additional dog.
Councilmember David Whitcomb was the lone vote against the amendment because he wanted the discount to apply to all seniors and veterans, not just town and city residents.
City officials said the fees are needed to cover maintenance and a key “fob” system for entry into the park.
