Deputies: Waterloo man sold heroin, fentanyl in Seneca County

Investigators with the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 38-year-old Waterloo man who possessed approximately 40 baggies of fentanyl, according to a release from the department.

David J. Zona, 38, of Waterloo was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance – a felony, as well as criminal use of drug paraphernalia – a misdemeanor.

Zona is accused of selling heroin and fentanyl in Seneca County.

He was held at the Law Enforcement Center and arraigned.

Investigators say he was committed to the jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 secured bond.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
