Victor rolls past Canandaigua into Class A final

One team was ready to play. One was not.

As a result, the Victor Blue Devils have a football game next weekend. In a complete reversal of the regular-season football matchup, the Blue Devils put together a plan to dominate, then executed to a T for a 27-7 victory over Canandaigua Academy in a Section V Class A semifinal on Friday night.

The display at SUNY Brockport left no doubt, much like the CA win on Oct. 5 in Week 6 of the regular season. The difference, of course, is that Friday’s game was a playoff game and while the Blue Devils relished in their revenge, the stunned Braves (8-1) were left wondering what happened that so swiftly ended their season as the tournament’s No. 1 seed.
