Cornell University’s Design Connect team to present a conceptual plan of Newark’s downtown area

Save the date! On December 12th, 2018 at 5:45PM, Cornell University’s Design Connect team will present a conceptual plan of Newark’s downtown area. The students and the Village of Newark held a well-attended outreach event at which community members participated in research activities and exchanged thoughts on the development of downtown Newark. Based on this information and visits to the area, the students created a comprehensive conceptual plan to complement and enhance current revitalization efforts. The plan will provide recommendations such as location and addition of businesses, landscaping, recreational areas, pedestrian traffic, and seating. The presentation will be held in the courtroom on the second floor of the Municipal Building, 100 East Miller Street, Newark. Come see a vision of the future!
