Pair hospitalized after two-vehicle crash in Town of Ontario

Deputies report that a two-car accident resulted in two people being sent to Strong Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The accident happened in the Town of Ontario around 7:07 p.m. on Wednesday when Louis Dudley, 38, of Sodus was traveling east on Kenyon Road — who proceeded into the intersection of Kenyon Road, where Susanne U. Miedlich, 49, was approaching the same intersection traveling north on Knickerbocker Road.

The two vehicles collided in the intersection, which resulted in Dudley’s to overturn and strike a RG&E utility pole.

Miedlich was immediately extricated from her vehicle, and both were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Deputies determined that Dudley failed to stop at a sign posted at the intersection.

Union Hill Ambulance, Ontario Ambulance, Wayne County ALS and Ontario Fire Department were all on-scene of the accident.
