Victor Town Supervisor Jack Marren will remain as chairman of the Ontario County Board of Supervisors in 2019, a role he has been elected to each year since 2013.
Once again, Bristol Supervisor Bob Green was appointed vice chairman.
And while the calendar has flipped from 2018 to 2019, the board is expected to face many of the same challenges it has in the past — namely, dealing with unfunded state mandates and what may be included in the state budget for 2019-20 when details are released later in the month, Marren said.
“You know the challenges,” Marren said Thursday, shortly after he was elected board chairman. “We know the challenges don’t go away.”
Marren’s colleagues, however, are confident that Marren is the person to lead the way.
West Bloomfield Supervisor Todd Campbell said Marren has helped him make West Bloomfield a better place, as he has for other town supervisors.
“I know we’re doing the same for county residents,” Campbell said.
