Thousands march in snowy, frigid Seneca Falls

Thousands of people took on the cold and snow to march in support of equality across the nation on Saturday in Seneca Falls for the third annual Women’s March.   The first women’s rights convention took place in Seneca Falls in 1848, and in recent years, more than 15,000 people have showed up. The winter storm that arrived in the region on Saturday morning kept the numbers down this year as opposed to the previous two January rallies.

The Women’s March in Seneca Falls is part of a national protest in cities across America. For a report on the marches in other regions from NPR click here.
