Greece police arrest three in plot to attack Muslim community near Binghamton

Greece police made three arrests this weekend in connection to an alleged plot to attack a Muslim community near Binghamton.

Police arrested Brian F. Colaneri, 20, of Gates; Vincent R. Vetromile, 19, of Greece; and Andrew C. Crysel, 18, of East Rochester, on Saturday. All three have been charged with three counts of first-degree criminal possession of a dangerous weapon and one count of fourth-degree conspiracy. All are felonies.

According to court documents, the three planned to attack Islamberg, a Muslim community in Delaware County, roughly 40 miles east of Binghamton.

On Friday, police found the three allegedly in possession of three improvised explosive devices at a house at 58 Milford St. in Greece, according to court documents. The three devices were described as one large sized cylinder wrapped in duct tape, one medium sized cylinder wrapped in duct tape and one mason jar wrapped in duct tape, according to court documents.
