First responders say a water rescue was necessary off Route 21 in Canandaigua on Thursday.
The incident took place during the morning hours at a local pond near Route 21. The Canandaigua Messenger adds that one man was rescued from the pond by firefighters with the Canandaigua Fire Department.

Onlookers saw the man be pulled from the water.
It’s unclear how he ended up in the water, but this story will be updated when officials provide new information.
