Auburn man arrested with stolen guns after Conquest burglary

Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck reports that after receiving tips from the public – stolen guns were located, and an Auburn man was arrested on multiple charges.

Raymond J. Allen, 31, of Auburn was charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny, and two counts of criminal possession of stolen property.

Investigators worked closely with the Auburn Police Department and were able to secure a stolen gun.

Further investigation revealed that Allen had stolen that gun, along with others from a residence on Aldrich Road in Conquest.

That crime hadn’t been reported to the police.

He was arraigned in Owasco Town Court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secured bond

This collaborative effort between the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and Auburn Police Department resulted in the swift arrest of the offender and the recovery of four stolen guns that will be returned to the rightful owner.
