Police say a pedestrian was transported to Geneva General Hospital after being struck by a westbound vehicle on River Road in Seneca Falls.
The crash happened near the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge when the 911 Center received a call reporting that a vehicle struck a pedestrian.
Police say both were traveling west on River Road.
Investigation determined that the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing, and that stretch of the roadway is unlit by streetlights.
Police say other contributing factors are still being determined and investigated.
The pedestrian, who was not identified by police, was transported to Geneva General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
North Seneca Ambulance, the Seneca Falls Fire Department, and Seneca Falls Police Department, DEC, and Seneca County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident.
The operator of the vehicle was not injured, according to police.
