Let the countdown to America’s discovery of the Rugby crepe begin.
Simply Crepes will be among the eateries featured on a new episode of the Food Network’s “The Best Thing I Ever Ate” show, which airs at 9 p.m. Monday, April 8.
Although just two days away, the fact that the restaurant will be in the TV spotlight still hasn’t sunk in for co-founder Pierre Heroux.
“I don’t know if it ever will,” Heroux said. “I still can’t believe it. It’s just humbling.”
The show features top chefs who talk about the foods they love at restaurant stops along their travels.
Chef Fabio Viviani, who owns the Portico by Fabio at del Lago Resort and Casino in Seneca County and starred in the show, “Top Chef,” shared his love for the Simply Crepes dish with the TV show.
Heroux was told Simply Crepes will be the first segment, but he has not seen the show yet.
