Matchmaker day could benefit Seneca County businesses as VA Hospital sees millions of dollars invested

As the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Canandaigua gets millions in investment – surrounding communities are curious: Can we get involved?

The answer is ‘yes’, and local leaders are pushing to see Seneca County businesses get involved.

The Ontario County Office of Economic Development, along with the SBA and PTAC is sponsoring a ‘matchmaker’ event with the primary contractor, and key sub-contractors for the work at the Canandaigua VA Hospital campus.

It’s an opportunity for businesses and contractors to pitch their best elevator speech to eight key contractors for this ongoing project.

The contractors are looking for a wide array of products and services, according to officials in Ontario County.

Bob Aronson, Executive Director of the Seneca County Industrial Development Agency said this was a great opportunity for local businesses.

The event is scheduled for May 20, 2019 at the Canandaigua VA Hospital. It will run from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
