As the jurors filed out of the jury room ready to announce their verdict, a woman’s sympathetic glance toward the accuser said it all.
“Not guilty,” said the jury forewoman, regarding the charge of first-degree criminal sex act. “Not guilty,” she repeated on the first-degree rape charge.
For the second time in a year, Michael Orbino Jr., was able to successfully defend himself from criminal charges.
“We’re thankful for the jury’s hard work and effort,” said Ontario County Assistant Conflict Defender Benjamin Gilmour, who along with co-counsel First Assistant Conflict Defender Carrie Bleakley defended Orbino.
