Brooks and Dunn take stage at CMAC

Among this year’s class of inductees in the fairly exclusive Country Music Hall of Fame — Ricky Skaggs and Alan Jackson just made it in over the past couple years, to give an idea of just how exclusive that “country club” is — is the band fronted by Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn. Founded in 1990, Brooks & Dunn were reliable chart toppers for two decades with songs like “My Maria,” “Ain’t Nothing ‘Bout You” “Red Dirt Road” and “Rock My World (Little Country Girl).” Retiring the band at the end of the ’00s, Brooks and Dunn got back together a few years ago and released a new disc of re-recorded versions of B&D favorites, “Reboot,” in April.

Brooks & Dunn made their way to Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center (CMAC) on Saturday, with Canadian country band High Valley as openers, for the second show in CMAC’s summer concert season. A clear and pleasant evening, it was a perfect night for some boot-scootin’ boogie.
