Victor names interim superintendent

The Victor Board of Education has appointed an interim superintendent to lead the school district while searching for a permanent successor to Superintendent Dawn Santiago-Marullo, who is retiring in July.

Veteran educator Dennis Ford was appointed Thursday night to the position while a search process continues.

Ford brings 45 years of education experience to Victor, including seven years as a building level administrator, four years as an assistant/associate superintendent, and 21 years as a superintendent of schools in Amherst, Depew, Akron, and while serving the state and the Buffalo City School District as a state-approved Education Partner Organization superintendent.

The latter experience came while working for M&T Bank in Buffalo for its Buffalo Promise Neighborhood and foundation initiatives.
