Two hospitalized after three-car crash in Canandaigua

Two people were sent to the hospital after a crash at the intersection of South Main and Phelps streets Monday afternoon.

The crash in the city of Canandaigua only resulted in minor conditions, but the accident was triggered by a driver who experienced a medical emergency.

Canandaigua Police Chief Stephen Hedworth told the Canandaigua Messenger that the driver of a southbound vehicle had a medical emergency, and rear-ended the second vehicle. He notes that the second vehicle turned over onto its side.

That vehicle then hit a third vehicle, which suffered minor damage.

The investigation into the incident remains active.
