The Town of Farmington Saturday celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the Auburn Trail, which now connects the Auburn Meadows and Farmbrook neighborhoods — and will eventually connect to the Ontario Pathways Trail and Finger Lakes Trail systems.
According to Farmington Town Supervisor Peter Ingalsbe, there is one remaining section to this trail project, approximately one and one-half miles long, that is still being constructed. When complete, it will close the trail’s loop along the Canandaigua Farmington Town Line Road. This link is scheduled to be open to the public this August.
The eventual goal is for the Auburn Trail to extend south into the Town of Canandaigua, to the City of Canandaigua, where it is planned to connect with the Ontario Pathways Trail and Finger Lakes Trail systems.
