Kyle Berkshire wins inaugural ROC City Rumble with 380-yard drive

The men’s open division championship match of the inaugural ROC City Rumble was billed as The Hair vs. The Beard.

Kyle Berkshire, 22, of Crofton, Maryland and his brown mane. Martin Borgmeier, 28, of Munich, Germany and his well-groomed forest of chin whiskers. Two of the best hitters on the World Long Drive Association Tour squaring off live on the Golf Channel at Home Team Sports Park in Chili.

Hitting second, Berkshire needed to beat a 369-yard drive Borgmeier posted on the third of his eight swings into a 63-yard wide grid. All this young Samson did was poke a 380-yard bomb on his first swing.
