Ontario County man arrested after months-long drug investigation

An Ontario County man has been arrested after a months-long investigation into drug sales in the county.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says 29-year-old James J. Murray of Clifton Springs was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance on Tuesday by the county’s Special Investigations Unit. The arrest came after a search was executed by investigators and the OCSO SWAT Team on Murray’s current residence in Manchester.

During the search, officers found heroin, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and an unloaded handgun.
