Deputies: Box truck driver takes out several mailboxes in Waterloo, charged with DWAI drugs

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports an ongoing investigation into a property damage accident involving a box truck on Waterloo Geneva Road.

Deputies were called to the area of 947 Waterloo Geneva Road in Waterloo for the report of a box truck that had struck several mailboxes.

Upon arrival, deputies located the operator – identified as James Dickey, 42, of Waterloo.

They found he was operating the truck with a suspended license; and further investigation found that he was impaired by drugs.

Subsequently, Dickey was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation, and arraigned at CAP Court.

He was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 bail.
