ADVISORY LIFTED: Motorists urged to still use caution in Ontario County

Update – Monday, 7 a.m.

After nearly a day of advised restricted travel – motorists can take to the roads in Ontario County while using caution this morning and afternoon.

Sheriff Kevin Henderson ended the Travel Advisory that was activated on Sunday. “Motorists are reminded to be aware of slippery road conditions as they travel and to use appropriate speeds,” he said. “Remember to take the time to clean your entire car off of snow and ice, before going out onto the highway. Move over for emergency vehicles and tow trucks, it’s the law.”

Manageable snowfall amounts were forecasted for the remainder of the day in Ontario County, according to forecasters and officials.
