Man accused of sexually abusing young girls in Auburn sentenced to four more years in prison

Four more years.

Saleem Tariq Spencer, who is presently an inmate at the Mohawk Correctional Facility in Rome pleaded guilty in October to charges stemming from the sexual abuse of two girls that occurred in Auburn four years ago, according to The Auburn Citizen.

The Citizen reports that Spencer admitted to the abuse. One of the victims was also said to be less than 13 years old at the time of the abuse.

The latest plea assures that Spencer will spend four more years in prison after completion of his current term.

Cayuga County Senior Assistant District Attorney Heather DeStefano said in court that the victims’ families accepted the terms, according to The Citizen.
