Police: Penn Yan man violated order of protection

Police arrested a 65-year-old Penn Yan man following a complaint in the village and subsequent investigation.

Robert J.M. Mattero, 65, of Penn Yan was arrested on East Elm Street after he violated an active court order.

He was found to be violating a stay away order of protection, and subsequently charged with second-degree criminal contempt.

Police say Mattero was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charge at a later date.
