Police say a 30-year-old Canandaigua man was arrested on several charges after attempting to break into a home on Wilcox Lane through a window on February 1st.
That arrest took place just two days after another arrest following a property damage incident on South Main Street.
The victim in the attempted break-in did not know the suspect, who police identified as Paul Soltis, 30, of Canandaigua. He was charged with criminal mischief, obstructing governmental administration, and resisting arrest in that incident.
Police responded to the residence after a 911 call reporting a suspicious person was trying to enter the home through a window.
When officers attempted to arrest Soltis, he failed to follow orders, attempted to flee, and then resisted arrest.
On January 31st, Soltis, was arrested on a criminal mischief charge after an investigation of property damage at a business on South Main Street.
He was accused of intentionally damaging property at the business on that date. He was issued appearance tickets in that incident, too.
