Police: 39-year-old charged with unlawful imprisonment, resisting arrest after Canandaigua incident

Police report the arrest of a 39-year-old Canandaigua resident following a disturbance in the city.

Investigators say Denise Willis, 39, was charged with unlawful imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child, and resisting arrest.

Willis is accused of physically holding down another person against their will on a couch, then on a bed.

The incident unfolded in the pressence of a child. Police say that Willis additionally resisted arrest once officers arrived on-scene.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
