Canandaigua PD: Infant unhurt after intoxicated driver strikes several parked cars on N. Main St.

The Canandaigua Police Department reports the arrest of two Honeoye residents following a crash on North Main Street, which resulted in a felony Leandra’s Law arrest.

Police say Kevin Beechner, 21, was under the influence of drugs while he was operating the vehicle with an infant passenger. They say he struck several other parked vehicles on North Main Street.

As result, he was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated – under Leandra’s Law – as well as endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, moving from lane unsafely, and driving across hazard markings.

Through that investigation it was also determined that the infant was supposed to be under Davis’ care when the accident occurred. As result, she was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Both were treated at F.F. Thompson Hospital and released.

Police say the infant was not hurt.
