Troopers: Red Creek man killed in two-car crash on Rt. 104 in Wayne County

State Police say that on Saturday around 9:55 a.m. troopers investigated a two-vehicle fatal crash on State Route 104 at Ridge Road.

They say the operator of the southbound vehicle passed through the intersection and struck an eastbound vehicle.

The operator of the eastbound vehicle was identified as James Gardner, 71, of Red Creek.

He died at the scene, police say.

Meanwhile, Todd Sigeti, 30, of Pennsylvania – the operator of the southbound vehicle that collided with Gardner’s was sent to Upstate Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The State Police Commercial Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene and the investigation is continuing.
