Jasper driver killed in Yates County crash over the weekend

A Steuben County man died in a one-car crash on Route 14A in Yates County on Sunday.

Deputies say it happened around 1:30 p.m. on Route 14A near Baker Road in Milo. When deputies arrived, they found the victim trapped and unresponsive.

The victim was identified as Thomas Price, 53, of Jasper.

First responders say he was traveling south on 14A when his vehicle went off the road and struck the end of a guardrail head-on.

Price was declared dead at the scene.

Route 14A was closed as deputies investigated. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
