Seneca Falls man charged with theft from Tops, Walmart

The Seneca Falls Police Department reports the arrest of a 50-year-old man on a petit larceny charge after two separate incidents at Walmart and Tops.

Police say Daniel Babbitt Jr., 50, was charged with petit larceny.

He’s accused of entering Walmart – placing several items into his cart and attempting to leave without paying.

A short time later, he went to Tops and left the store with $367 worth of food.

Police say Babbitt was arrested on two counts of petit larceny and released. The charges will be answered at a later date.
