High-speed internet on its way to some rural Cayuga County towns

By the end of 2018, about 4,000 residents in seven rural Cayuga County municipalities will have access to high-speed broadband internet through 400 miles of fiber network from New Visions Communications. The $14.1 million project covers parts of the towns of Sterling, Victory, Montezuma, Moravia, Summherill, Locke and Genoa. About $11.3 million is funded through the state’s Broadband Program. Auburn man charged in late Sunday night stabbing in Town of Victory

The New York State Police report that on Saturday a fatal accident in Sterling took place involving two cars — around 1:30 pm. Town of Victory considers local law to allow electric vehicle charging stations

The town of Victory is working on a draft of a local law that would potentially allow the installation of an electric vehicle charging station.
