Weedsport school district budget includes tax levy hike, UPK program

The Weedsport Central School District’s 2017-2018 budget includes a 1.98-percent tax levy increase. The budget was finalized at a school board meeting Monday. Weedsport man sent to prison for assaulting paramedics in Cayuga County

A Weedsport man was sent to prison Thursday for assaulting two paramedics in Cayuga County. In October, William Smith, of 133 Oakleaf Dr., pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted assault, a class E felony.
