Shortsville sauerkraut plant will close in September

The world’s largest sauerkraut manufacturer will close its doors in Shortsville later this year. GLK Foods, which processes a total of 130,000 tons of cabbage per year announced that it is consolidating its sauerkraut production to a plant located in Wisconsin. Phelps man charged with felony DWI after nearly striking patrol car

The Wayne County Office of the Sheriff reports the arrest of a Phelps man for driving while intoxicated after nearly striking a patrol car. Deputies arrested James W. Walburn III, 26, of Phelps. Deputies say a Geneva man was arrested on two charges following the issuance of a warrant in Phelps Town Court. According to deputies, Matthew L.
