Two face drug, weapon charges in Schuyler County

On Friday at about 2 am, Schuyler County Sheriff Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on State Route 14 in the Village of Montour Falls after a Vehicle and Traffic Violation was observed. Four face felony charges after meth lab bust in Montour Falls

The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of four individuals who are accused of manufacturing methamphetamine at the Romeo Village Apartments on Broadway St. in the Village of Montour Falls. Odessa woman arrested for attempting to sell controlled substance

Jill M. Laughlin, 39, of Odessa was arrested on July 28th and charged with third-degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance. She allegedly attempted to sell prescription medicine. Laughlin was arraigned in the Village of Montour Falls Court and released to appear at a later date. more

Dundee woman charged with welfare fraud

The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office reports that Antoinette M. Morgan, 47, of Dundee was charged with offering a false instrument for filing and welfare fraud after allegedly providing false information to the Schuyler County Department of Social Services and receiving benefits. Morgan was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charge at a later date. more

Short on customers, group calls for end of Seneca Lake LPG storage plan

After learning that Arlington Storage Company could not find customers for additional fracked gas storage at Seneca Lake, Gas Free Seneca, represented by environmental law firm Earthjustice, sent letters to the two agencies with jurisdiction over the facility, asking for official disapproval of Arlington’s proposed expansion. Pair charged with making meth in Montour Falls

The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office reports that on April 10th two Montour Falls residents were charged with producing methamphetamines. Richard A. Franklin, 41, and Rachel J. Pyhtila, 19, were charged with third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine — a Class D felony. They allegedly possessed several items and chemicals used in manufacturing the drug. Schuyler DA: Man facing felony perjury charges employed at Geneva General Hospital

A 61-year-old Montour man, who works at Geneva General Hospital was indicted by a grand jury in Schuyler County after officials say he perjured himself during jury service in a rape case. Honk! ends its 2-day Odessa-Montour run
