Pair charged with making meth in Montour Falls

The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office reports that on April 10th two Montour Falls residents were charged with producing methamphetamines. Richard A. Franklin, 41, and Rachel J. Pyhtila, 19, were charged with third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine — a Class D felony. They allegedly possessed several items and chemicals used in manufacturing the drug. Crestwood protesters sentenced in Reading Town Court

On Wednesday, a handful of members from the We Are Seneca Lake group were sentenced in Reading Town Court related to protesting incidents at the Crestwood Facility in Schuyler County. Elmira woman charged with stealing welfare benefit in Schuyler County

An Elmira woman was arrested in Schuyler County after allegedly stealing welfare benefits. Melissa Pierce, 24, of Elmira was arrested on October 13th and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor after allegedly stealing money in the form of a public welfare benefit.
