Invasive Species Hike: Hemlock Wooly Adelgid at Lick Brook

As part of New York Invasive Species Awareness Week, this hike will explore the beautiful Lick Brook Natural Area to examine hemlock wooly adelgid infestations, as well as trees that have been successfully treated and saved, and some that are healthy and uninfested. Learn what our Natural Areas Crew and others are doing to slow the spread of this destructive insect. The hike is short but with steep/ rugged terrain; not recommended for young children.
