River City Brass
Saturday, March 25 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
The River City Brass, often called the “Boston Pops — in Brass,” will present “Emerald Isle,” a program featuring the music of Ireland, “and we’ll be mixing that up with some Scottish music as well,” said River City Brass Band’s conductor, James Gourlay. The band will play favorite Highland pieces that audiences will recognize. “There will be ‘Highland Cathedral’ and ‘Amazing Grace’ with the pipes and brass together, which is a spectacular thing,” Gourlay said. “We’ll be playing the music from ‘River Dance,’ and ‘Danny Boy’ is on the program.” The hope is people will be uplifted by concert and depart with a spring in their step. There will be a Pre-Concert Chat at 6:30 p.m. in the theater. All ticket holders are invited to attend. Single ticket prices are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors, and $10 for full-time college students with I.D. Children through grade 12 are always admitted free thanks to our Sponsor-a-Student program. Tickets are available at tickets.theSmith.org, the Smith Opera House and Area Records & Music in Geneva, Mobile Music in Canandaigua, The Copy Shop in Seneca Falls, and at the door. All seating is general admission.
