Yoga & a Pint #WindDownWednesday

Join us at the beer parlour as the #WindDownWednesday series continues with YIN yoga & a pint!
Kim Zajac, yogi, offers this relaxing form of yoga perfect for all fitness levels.
Kim says “Yin yoga is a different style of yoga than most are familiar with. Yin is a “cool” practice which means we’re not building inner heat from working the muscles or using a vigorous breath work. Instead, the practice is done primarily seated or lying down and poses are held or “melted into” for long periods of time, 3-5 minutes. Instead of using the body to get into the pose, we’re using the pose to get into the body. This practice helps to lengthen, and nourish the connective tissues and joints of the body. It brings a sense of space and decompression to body, mind and spirit! It will leave you feeling balanced, centered, and just a lovely general sense of AHHHHHHHHHHH when you’re done. Give it a try! It’s a practice for every body type, absolute beginners to advanced. Your spine is built to have “six degrees of freedom”; yin yoga helps us to maintain that for a lifetime!”
Cost of class is $18 which includes yogi lead instruction & a pint or glass of wine.
It’s recommended to dress comfortably & bring a yoga mat, blanket or towel. For students new to yoga, a few mats will be available from Kim.
