" Local Students Shadow Senator Nozzolio "
Two area high school students recently spent a day in Albany shadowing Senator Mike Nozzolio. Caroline McCulloch, a junior at Geneva High School and Benjamin Dodge, a junior at North Rose Wolcott High School, had the opportunity to observe Senator Nozzolio in his official legislative duties, which included committee meetings and an official session of the New York State Senate. Caroline, the daughter of Stanley and Babette McCulloch, and Benjamin, the son of Clifford and Alice Dodge, visited Albany as part of the 15th Annual Students Inside Albany conference, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of New York State Education Foundation, Inc. The program is designed to give high school students a greater knowledge of their state government, as well as their responsibility to become involved in their local communities, state and federal governments.

Newark's Troy Ludolph, seen here in action, tossed a five-hitter in pitching the complete game. Anthony Mashewske went 2 for 2 on the day including a two run inside the park home run. Newark improved to 13-10 on the year.

New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua) (pictured, left) recently met with a junior from Geneva High School, Caroline McCulloch, during the League of Women Voters of New York State Students Inside Albany Conference Day. The Students Inside Albany Conference included Caroline shadowing Leader Kolb during a typical afternoon to see firsthand the daily routine of her local New York State Assemblyman. Students Inside Albany is designed for high school students from across the state to learn about New York State government and the process by which public policy is developed.
