Gas Prices Jump 20-Cents Over The Weekend

It’s the largest jump in gas prices in the Finger Lakes-ever. Since late last week the price at the pump has jumped almost 20-cents per gallon. In Geneva, Seneca Falls, and Waterloo regular unleaded gas is selling for $2.65 per gallon, up from $2.46 per gallon just last Thursday. Almost two-thirds of the people surveyed for an Associated Press-America On Line poll late last week say they expect fuel costs will cause them financial hardship in the coming months. The average cost of gas across the country is at $2.40 per gallon. Last year at this time the average price of gas was at $1.86 per gallon.
