Dog Obedience Classes offered in Watkins Glen

Schuyler County 4-H is offering Dog Obedience classes for youth ages 8 and older, for both beginners and advanced/graduate levels (for dogs and trainers who have successfully completed a beginner dog obedience class). Beginner level classes will be held 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and the Graduate/Advanced level classes are from 7:30-8:30 p.m., from May 10 through June 14, 2007. Graduate/Advanced classes will also continue June 21 through July 12, 2007, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Classes will be held at the Watkins Glen Community Center, and at the Schuyler County Youth Site. You must have a 6-foot lead and a flat buckle or slip style collar for your dog – no chain collars are allowed. Collars and leashes will also be available at cost. Dogs must be at least 4 months old and have proof of current rabies, distemper, and parvo vaccinations. Each class is limited to the first 12 youth to register and the fee for either beginner or advanced is $10 for 4-H members; $20 for non 4-H members.
