Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, Sheriff Deputies arrested Benjamin L. Dahl age 24 of 2695 Willers Rd Seneca Falls NY 13148 for the charges of DWI, DWI with a BAC of .08 or greater, Reckless Driving, and Speeding. A Sheriff Deputy on routine patrol observed a vehicle at a high rate of speed, south bound through the Hamlet of Fayette on Rte 414. When the Deputy turned to pursue the vehicle it increased it’s speed. A second Deputy traveling north on Rte 414 observed the same vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed south of the Hamlet. The vehicle driver, later identified as Dahl, lost control of his vehicle while attempting to make a left turn from Rte 414 to CO RD 129 and entered the ditch located on the south side of the roadway. Romulus Fire and South Seneca Ambulance responded to the scene to assist, Dahl sustained no injuries and signed off at the scene. Dahl was arrested for DWI and taken before the Town of Varick Court Justice Case for an arraignment. Dahl was ROR’ed and is to re appear in the Varick Town Court on 12-11-2008 at 7:30 pm.
