Seneca Falls Police Beat 5/4/09

On May 4th, 2009 at approx. 9:15 AM Seneca Falls Police arrested Zachary C. Dove, age 21 from 12 Darkes Road Jonestown, PA on Felony Fugitive of Justice charges out of the State of Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania State Police had an active arrest warrant for Dove for two counts of Criminal Attempt to Commit Criminal Homicide and one count of arson. On May 2nd 2009 Seneca Falls Police were contacted by the Pennsylvania State Police because they received information that Dove may be hiding out at a residence in Seneca Falls. On the above date and time Dove was witnessed by a Seneca Falls Police Officer walking down Miller Street near Clinton Street. Seneca Falls Police approached the suspect who upon first contact gave Officers a false name. Upon further interview the suspect admitted that he was in fact Zachary C. Dove. Dove was then taken into custody without further incident. A Felony Fugitive of justice Information was filed by the Seneca Falls Police Department and Zachary C. Dove was arraigned in the Seneca Falls Town Court in front of Judge Mahoney. Dove was sentenced to the Seneca County correctional Facility on no bail waiting extradition back to Pennsylvania.On 05-04-09 at approx. 10:25 Seneca Falls Police arrested Matthew L. Miller, age 26 who was currently homeless at the time of arrest for three separate charges out of the Town of Seneca Falls Court. The first charge was a Bench Warrant for Failure to Pay Fine. The original charge was on 11/13/2007 where Miller was charged by Seneca Falls Police with AUO 2nd; Registration Suspended; Operating a vehicle without Insurance; Operating an unregistered Motor Vehicle on a Highway; Operating a Motor Vehicle with Improper Plates; and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. Miller was arraigned in the Seneca Falls Town Court in front of Judge Mahoney and committed to the S.C.C.F. on $500 cash or $1,000 ins. bond. The second charge was also a Bench Warrant for Failure to Pay Fine. The original charge for this was on 07/01/2008 where Miller was charged by Seneca Falls Police for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th Degree. Miller was arraigned in the Seneca Falls Town Court in front of Judge Mahoney and committed to the S.C.C.F. on $500 cash or $1,000 ins bond.The third charge was an Arrest Warrant out of Seneca County Probation charging Miller for Violation of Probation/Conditional Discharge. Miller was arraigned in the Seneca Falls Town Court in front of Judge Mahoney and committed to the S.C.C.F. on no bail.Miller has a return date in Seneca Falls Town Court of May 13th, 2009 at 9:00 AM for all three of the above charges.
