Grand Prix Fest Fireworks Time Change

On Friday, September 11, the village of Watkins Glen will celebrate 61 years of American road racing with the 17th annual Grand Prix Festival, sponsored by Chemung Canal Trust Company. This free, all day festival will take place in downtown Watkins Glen from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Event attendees are asked to take note that the Fireworks have moved from their usual 9pm time slot to 8pm. The unique show, sponsored the Community Bank NA, and will take place on Franklin Street in a dramatic setting against the rock walls of the gorge. Held each year in conjunction with the U.S. Vintage Grand Prix at Watkins Glen International, the event highlights an all-day street festival featuring a number of sports car events. This year will be of special interest to Morgan enthusiasts as the annual “Tour de Marque” road rallye will be reserved exclusively for Morgans.
