FLTG: Internet and Phone Services

VICTOR, N.Y., Nov. 20, 2009 — The village of Victor, N.Y. has selected Finger Lakes Technologies Group Inc. for broadband Internet and telephone services, due to the tremendous cost-savings offered by FLTG compared to other regional telecommunications providers.By contracting with FLTG, the village expects to save more than 25 percent in its current telephone fees and approximately 30 percent in Internet service compared to other providers’ proposals. In addition, the village of Victor becomes the first municipality to link to the Ontario County fiber ring. Consisting of nearly 180 miles of fiber-optic cable, the network is designed to provide seamless voice, data and Internet connectivity throughout the county.Under the terms of the service contract, which was unanimously approved by village trustees, FLTG will provide telephone and Internet services to the Village Hall, Waste Water Treatment Plant and the Fire Hall over the next three years.“We carefully examined our telecommunications options, with the primary goal of saving money for village taxpayers,” said Victor Mayor John S.
