Seneca Lake Wine Trail Supports Local Non-Profits

With over $13,000 worth of wine and event tickets donated in 2009, Trail helps fellow non-profits with fundraising Watkins Glen, NY – The Seneca Lake Wine Trail is proud to announce that it donated a record amount of wine, over 100 cases, and event tickets to various regional non-profit organizations, assisting them in their fundraising efforts.Observed Paul Thomas, executive director of the wine trail, “Every year our member wineries individually donate a staggering amount of wine to a wide variety of non-profit organizations, but most people don’t appreciate that they also donate so much wine through our organization’s wine donations program. The Seneca Lake Wine Trail is very appreciative of all the important work conducted by non-profit organizations like the American Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels, the United Way, Food Banks, Geva Theatre, YMCA, Boy Scouts, and many more, and happy to help support their vital programs through a donation of wine that helps support their fundraising initiatives.
